BOOKS TO READ BEFORE YOU DIE

Reading and listening to stories have continued to be the most entertaining and enjoyable activities since ancient times. Books are  a vital source of knowledge as well as happiness. Stories have continued to fascinate humans and have successfully left a mark on people's lives. From the famous stories of the Greek, Egyptian and roman heroes to great epics like Mahabharata, books have  taught us the joy of learning. Well obviously reading has innumerable benefits- they increase imagination, creativity, improves vocabulary, etc. ( The list would go on).
I feel like the people who are not really a fan of books have probably not read the right kind of books. So, here are
few of my favourite books which I think everyone should read-

1. The Harry Potter series
Honestly I'm pretty sure 99.9% of people reading this blog have heard of this particular series of books. Harry Potter is undoubtedly the best book series of the 21st century. It teaches us values of friendship and the importance of love in our lives. The whole series is filled with humorous incidents, witty lines, surprising plot twists, thrilling mysteries and mind blowing adventures. So trust me, these books are definitely worth a read!
"We all must face the choice between what is right and what is easy"
Seriously, Dumbledore ( Rowling)  your wisdom is unreal!!!!
2. To Kill a mockingbird
I know the title sounds boring. But try to not judge the book by its title ( just like it isn't wise to judge a book by its cover). This beautiful novel by Harper Lee gives us an idea of racism and the injustice faced by the blacks in the town of Alabama.  The book mainly focuses on the thoughts of a young girl growing up in those cruel times. This book is also quite hilarious and exciting. However it also gets quite rough and gruesome at some points of the story. The book also manages to perfectly  depict an adorable  father-daughter relationship.

3. Circe
This is truly an amazing masterpiece written by Madeline Miller. If you are a fan of witchcraft and sorcerey, this is just the right book made for you! Miller has nonchalantly explored most of the important and famous greek mythological figures and stories while focusing on a misunderstood powerful sorceress who had been constantly bullied and laughed upon by her siblings. It has heart touching quotes and it also reflects the power and purity of a mother's love. If you're into slow paced and fanatical stories like me, you should definitely give this a read!

"They don't care if you're good. They hardly care if you're wicked. The only thing that makes them listen is power"
"In a solitary life there are rare moments when another soul dips near yours just as stars brush the earth once a year. Such a constellation he was to me"
 (Madeline!!!  I'm in awe)
4. The fault in our stars
This is an exceptionally beautiful and heart-touching romance   novel written by our very own John Green. I am not a very big fan of love stories but this story has been stuck with me ever since I opened the book. It consists of happy and sad incidents with killer quotes and witty one-liners. Infact this book is so beautifully written that no matter which page you're on, there's a huge possibility that you might  find a clever quote. "That's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt"
" The world is not a wish granting factory"
" I fell in love the way you fall asleep, slowly and then all at once"

(Like seriously John Green how in the name of Apollo did you come up with those!!!).
There also other books like "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, "Into the water' by Paula Hawkins, "Night" by nobel prize winning author Elie Wiesel ( but mind you it's an extremely sad  book which gives us an idea of concentration camps during WWII). All of them will surely make reading an addiction for you!

So if you've come this far, thank-you for reading my blog ❤️. Words can't describe how grateful I am for your patience. Have a nice day or night ahead.  PEACE OUT
